Hi TPC members! There are several exciting opportunities for photographers around Trin this month.
Opportunity 1. Trinity Magazine is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated photographers to contribute to the upcoming issue on a volunteer basis. Photographers will be assigned a task and are expected to submit the photos on a timely manner. Selected photos will be published in Trinity Magazine, the official alumni magazine of Trinity College. Interested photographers should send in their name, active email address, and phone number [email protected] with the subject “Photographer for Trinity Magazine ” no later than Jan 4. Your contact information will be kept confidential. Opportunity 2. The Snapshots of the Week project is looking for photographers again! Each week, a photographer will set out to photograph Trinity College. His or her photo will then be published on the Trinity Magazine website, together with a short blurb written by the photographer, explaining what the photo is about. Interested photographers should visit our website (http://trinphotography.weebly.com/snapshot-of-the-week-participation-details.html) or send us an email ([email protected]) to register. You must provide your name, active email address, and phone number. We will then ask you to sign up for your preferred submission cycle. You are expected to submit your photos by the deadline of the designated submission cycle. Note that although the original intention is to have as many photographers involved as possible, you are more than welcome to sign up for two submission cycles and have two of your photos posted on the website. Opportunity 3 . In January, U of T student group Faiths Act will be hosting an art exhibition and silent auction in conjunction with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC at U of T), for which they are asking individuals/groups to submit art of all forms and sign up for performances that reflect on one of the two questions: 1.) How does your faith inspire you to act? OR 2.) What does a better world look like and how do we get there? The purpose of the art exhibition is to raise awareness about global health issues and to raise funds to support projects specific to health care. For Faiths Act, the funds raised at the exhibition will go towards U of T professor Dr. Kevin Kain's work on malaria treatment and delivery in Uganda; for FIMRC, it will go towards pediatric and maternal health efforts in various developing countries. For more information about Faiths Act please see the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/faithsactuoft. All photographers interested are expected to submit a hard copy of their work and a small write-up to explain the photograph to be displayed and auctioned. There are two options available for photo submission: Option 1: Direct submission (you prepare your own physical copy of your photo) Contact Anna Siu ([email protected]) from Faiths Act for details regarding submitting a physical copy of your photograph. Since you are submitting your photo directly to Faiths Act, there will be no photo selection involved as long as photographs reflect on one of the two questions. The deadline for submission is January 14. Option 2: Indirect submission (TPC prints out the photo for you) Trinity Photography Club does have a small operating budget for this event. If you prefer to show your support by submitting a digital version of your photograph, you can do so by emailing your photo to [email protected]. We will take care of the photo printing and submission process. Due to the limitation of the budget, there may be a photo selection process involved in determining which photos gets printed and submitted. However, we will acknowledge all contributions by posting photos on our website and Facebook. You will also receive a certificate from us. The deadline for submission is January 6 at 12 pm. Opportunity 4 . The U of T magazine website has a "photo-of-the-week" section featuring work from students, staff, alumni, and faculty(http://www.magazine.utoronto.ca/category/photo-of-the-week/). If you are interested in having your photo posted there, please submit your photos to Suzanna Chang ([email protected]). The photo(s) need to be of good quality and have an interesting story. Please do not forget to mention that you are a member of Trinity Photography Club while submitting your photos. Opportunity 5 . And a heads-up that our annual photo competition is coming up. Stay tuned for the details and get ready for photo submissions! Thanks and have a good break!

Thanks for making the effort to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and really like learning more on this subject. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind upgrading your website with more information? It is useful for me.
