Our winter workshop has finally arrived! Sylvia, the Rolph-Bell Archivist of Trinity College, together with Anne Carty, will lead us through the history of photography.
You will take a peek at 19th century photographs from the collection of the Trinity College archives, including a rare collection of precious photographs, taken by many professional photographers. You will also be introduced to novel photography developing methods, e.g. albumin, gelatin silver.
You will even have the chance to put on special gloves and handle these precious photographs! Come join us on a fun-filled evening, as we whiz through photography through the decades.
Ren Hui Yoong will once again be the instructor for this workshop. At the workshop held last semester, she amazed and dazzled us with her sensational photographs and tips regarding the generals of travel photography. This time, she will be returning to elaborate on the topic and focusing more in depth on the processes of travel photography.
Ren Hui's personal work has been published commercially in magazines and calendars in Singapore, Australia, Canada, and the United States. She has also worked as a photojournalist for several newspapers.
